Service Information

If we cannot match your colour to one of our cards, we can perform an exact colour-matching service. This will add a couple of days, due to the additional steps needed to ensure an exact colour match.

Colour coding is often carried out alongside alloy wheel powder coating or used to complete a diamond cut refurbishment when the set needs a consistent finish.

Our Colour Coding Process

At Rolling Rims, we understand the importance of alloy wheels for any vehicle. That is why we provide a variety of services to keep your wheels in top condition, from repairs through to full custom finishes.

Step 1 - Remove

If you have brought your vehicle to us, we jack it up, place it on axle stands, and remove the wheels. Once inside the workshop, the tyres and valves are removed so the wheels are ready for prep.

Step 2 - Colour Match

We compare the wheel against our stock of colour cards to find the closest match. If the finish is more unusual, we can arrange an exact colour-matching service.

Step 3 - Strip

Once the colour plan is agreed, we remove the tyres and valves and strip the old finish away so the wheel is properly prepared for the new coating.

Step 4 - Prep

After soaking, the wheels are moved to the steam-cleaning bay and prepped. If the alloys are damaged, we sand, weld, and media blast them before paint.

Step 5 - Paint

Once prepped and cleaned, the alloys go into the spray booth and the matched colour is applied. If the wheel also needs diamond cutting, that is completed after the colour stage before final protection is applied.

Step 6 - Assemble

Your alloys are then rebuilt with new valves and your tyres refitted. If your tyres are low on tread, this is a good time to replace them. We balance the wheels and make sure they are within spec before they go back on the vehicle. Note: TPMS stems will be reused if suitable. We will not refit tyres with excessive damage.

We provide a full 12-month warranty with all refurbishments. This excludes stone chips, curb damage, and damage around the bolt holes or around the lip caused by incorrect fitting. All warranty claims need to be inspected beforehand.
